Not enough hydration
Dehydrated skin = dullness. Ensuring you quench thirsty skin with hydrating skincare makes all the difference to your glow! Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient to look out for and ensure you use daily to top up your moisture levels.
The wrong shade of foundation
I know its tempting to go for a foundation a little warmer than your skin tone but this is one of the main culprits for causing your skin to look dull. Go for a shade that blends into your skin tone completely to create healthier looking skin and then add warmth with a bronzer were the sun would naturally hit. This makes such a difference to your glow!
Too much coverage
As I get older, I find the less coverage the better! More concealer, less foundation. Full coverage foundation hides your natural glow and can look one dimensional and flat. Want glow but also feel you need coverage? Use a lightweight tinted base all over followed by a foundation stick on any areas you want fuller coverage. This will give you the coverage you need where you need it whilst creating a brighter more radiant looking finish overall.
Lack of exfoliation
Exfoliating your face at least once a week is an essential. Exfoliation will get rid of those dead skin cells accumulating on the surface of your skin creating a smoother, brighter looking base instantly. Introduce an AHA acid exfoliator into your routine like this one. Not only will it help to avoid dullness your makeup will go on so much smoother and last a lot longer throughout the day.
