After 22 hours in the air en route home from Australia a couple of months back I like to think I’ve nailed the products to take in your carry on when travelling long haul.

Now this list isn’t for your 2 hour Spain dash, but more the longer journeys when you will be settling down for a while. For everyone wanting fresh hydrated skin in flight and a couple of makeup products to brighten you up at the other end, keep reading.

Micellar Water

I pack a mini with a couple of cotton pads so I can do a quick cleanse. Even if you haven’t worn makeup it will get rid of any dirt or oil build up on on your bare skin before applying any treatment products.

I love: Bioderma Micellar Water Travel Size

Hydrating Face Mask

Be sure to choose a hydrating mask (preferably in a tube for hygiene) that you can apply without removing the excess. You want something you can apply all over and leave allowing your skin to drink it up. Whatever your skin type, you will most definitely need all the hydration after a long haul flight.

I love: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

Eye Balm

The under eye area is the driest area on the face and the first place to reveal your jet lag so we need to ensure we keep it plump and moisturised, an eye balm is great for this! Can be used on the lips too, and is so much more hygienic than any jars you have to put your fingers in.

I love: Kate Somerville Eye Balm

Lip Balm

If your lips aren’t particularly dry, just use your eye balm on your lips to hydrate. However if you suffer from dry lips pack yourself a rich nourishing lip treat for the flight (use a little eye balm on your lips first then smothered on the lip balm for maximum results).

I love: Clinique Night Pout Mask

Face Mist

The ultimate in flight saviour!! Spritz throughout the flight for an instant burst of hydration and dewy looking skin.

I love: Caudalie Beauty Elixir

An important step for when you reach the other end. I always apply a light layer onto my face just before I land to add my sun protection and a little moisture to blend a couple of makeup products onto.

I love: Ultra Sun SPF50

After a long haul flight I love to add a pop of colour to bring my skin back to life. I take a Concealer to brighten my under eyes, a creamy cheek glow to add a pop of colour to cheeks and lips finished with a little brow gel to tame the brows.
