I WORK WITH KATE SOMERVILLE SKINCARE
I’ve been using Kate Somerville Delikate Moisturiser since the beginning of this year and my skin absolutely loves it. The Moisturiser launched solo as the hero product a few weeks back but has now been joined online by its fellow skin soothers… The Delikate Cleanser and Delikate Serum.
This range was designed by Kate to instantly calm and soothe skin. Whether your skin has been irritated due to hormonal changes, the use of active ingredients in other skincare products or is just naturally prone to irritation and needs a calming and soothing formula, then Delikate is for you.
Kate was inspired to create the line after seeing an increase in clients visiting her clinic that had damaged their skins natural barrier due to using too many at home active Retinols and Acids. Delikate is all about strengthening the skins natural barrier which is something we often don’t pay attention to. I personally didn’t pre Delikate. I was focused on all the AHA’s, Vitamin C’s and Retinols to brighten and even my skin tone, never did I give Ceramides (the key ingredient to Delikate) a second thought.
Just as it is important to use actives on the skin, it’s just as important to give your skin those days off to repair and comfort in between with those ceramide rich formulas.
The range is 100% free from fragrance, parabens, sulphates, phthalates and mineral oils.
MEET THE LINE UP…
The cleanser is a creamy consistency which moisturizes the skin whilst reducing any redness or irritation. I don’t personally use this product however if you are someone that suffers with flare ups of redness and irritation frequently then it would be perfect for you.
Rich in Omegas and Ceramides to promote and support a healthy skin barrier. Helps to comfort dry/tight skin whilst providing long lasting hydration. I use this around 3 times a week underneath my daily moisturiser – always the morning after I’ve used a Retinol product.
My ultimate fave! This rich dream cream adds instant nourishment to the skin whipped together with Ceramides and Peptides for instant comfort. It makes the perfect makeup base if you skin is feeling a little drier and I use on top of the serum on those mornings after Retinol. I also use this of an evening on top of any active serums or exfoliants. The perfect partner to my Exfolikate Intensive for a Sunday night treat.
