Hope you are having a Merry Christmas! Mine so far has consisted of lots of pyjama wearing and massively over indulging in Chocolate and Prosecco! What Christmas is made for right?
To celebrate these few days between Christmas and New Year, each Bobbi Brown Pro Artist has designed a look, giving inspiration for your New Years Eve glam. These 5 looks will consist of 5 key products and will be released daily, starting today with my look.
My top 5 products are available to shop now on ‘Ashley’s Party Picks’ or on display at any UK Bobbi Brown counter so you can try before you buy with one of our artists.
As mentioned in my previous post, there is nothing I love more than a bold lip! My go to party look is glowing skin, a neutral eye with a defined lash line, and a bold lip colour. I find this look super classic and striking without taking up too much time!
Now let’s get into the products you will need…
1. Long-wear Cream Shadow Stick in Vanilla
Apply straight from applicator all over the lid up into the crease and blend with finger. No brushes necessary.
My most used eyeshadow, EVER! Absolutely love this product and wear it daily. Whether I am creating a natural eye or a smokey eye, this is the product I reach for as a base.
It completely neutralizes any discolouration on the eye lid. That darker pinky tone a lot of us get is counteracted by the yellow tone in the Vanilla stick creating an even toned, brighter looking lid instantly.
2. Powder Eye Shadow in Cement
Apply lightly through the crease and along the lower lash line. Use a soft natural hair Eye Shadow Brush so it distributes the powder lightly in a diffused way. If the bristles of your brush are too dense you will end up with a stripe of colour in the socket that isn’t blending. It’s all in the brush!
I love cement as it is a neutral tone that enhances your natural eye shape without looking like you are wearing a lot of eye shadow.
3. Gel Liner in Black Ink
Using the Ultra Fine Liner Brush draw a line along the lash line in short strokes extending it slightly in the outer corners to elongate your eye shape. Take it right the way across starting finer in the inside corner and gradually strengthening to a bolder line in the outside corner.
This is the liner I always use on myself as I feel it gives the boldest colour and lasts the longest therefore not having to reapply. (Check out my previous post on Eyeliner formulas if you want to know more).
4. Eye Opening Mascara
For those high impact lashes!! Apply several coats to create thickness, curl and lift for the ultimate eye opening effect.
I don’t personally have the fullest lashes, so I need a high drama mascara to work its magic, and this is definitely it.
It is a rich, black formula that works best when you pull through the lashes from root to tip in a straight upwards motion, no need to wiggle the wand.
5. Rich Lip Colour in Crimson
Finish the look with this gorgeous rich lip colour to take your look to the next level. If you are wanting extra staying power you can layer ‘Sangria’ lip pencil underneath over the whole lip.

Enjoy the rest of your Christmas break,
